finite arithmetic progession


In mathematics, a finite arithmetic progression, also sometimes confusingly called simply an arithmetic progression, is a finite portion of an arithmetic sequence. For example, 6, 7, 8, 9 is a finite arithmetic progression extracted from the arithmetic sequence formed by the natural numbers.
